Don NaumannFounder and Presidentsince 1982
Don has been in the turf care business for over 30 years and has received a number of accolades for his contributions to the industry.
He was named Man of the Year by DFL International Seeds in 2004 and has been honored as Affiliate of the Year by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Northern California (GCSANC) three times.
Don received his Bachelor’s degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in 1977 and worked for another turf supply company for about 5 years, before starting his own business. He is passionate about providing quality turfgrass products and programs to his customers and ensuring that they get what they want, when they want it, at a fair price.
Don is past president of the Independent Turf and Ornamental Distributors Association (ITODA), which was formed in 1990 to foster the trade and marketing of products for the turf and ornamental landscaping industries. He is currently the vice chairman of Prokoz—a co-operative buying group for the turf and ornamental industry. Becky NaumannVice President / Co-ownersince 1984
Becky graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Horticulture from Oregon State University. After graduation she spent a short time in the whole sale floral industry before moving onto the landscape and golf industry. She spent several years in outside sales; however, the direction of her career rapidly became more focused on the growth of Sierra Pacific instead of the growth of plants and turf. As the business grew, her responsibilities shifted away from sales and into management. Currently, she is the vice president/co-owner, as well as the branch manager for the Campbell office. When she is not working she loves to take classes at the gym like kick boxing, zumba, body sculpt and the list goes on. Deann NorrisAccounting/Office Managersince 1996
Deann has a Liberal Arts degree from West Valley College and has 17 years of experience in the banking industry. She held various positions with Bank of the West starting from a teller to her latest position as the Electronic Banking Manager. She supervised five departments before making the move to Sierra Pacific in 1996. Currently, she is the Accounting/Office Manager in the Campbell office. Al brings a wealth of golf course expertise to Sierra Pacific. Prior to working for Sierra Pacific, Al became a certified golf course superintendent in 1988. He worked on golf courses for 25 years and was a Superintendent for 15 years. Al received Employee of the Year twice at Sierra pacific and a Salesman Team of the Year award in 2008. Jeff received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Chico state in Ornamental Horticulture. He has been with Sierra Pacific for 14 years and has 16 years of Golf course experience working at golf courses like Pebble Beach, Spyglass, and Old Course St. Andrews in Scotland as the only American selected to intern there when he graduated from college. Ryan JohnsonGolf Accessories Managersince 2009
Ryan received an Associate’s degree from West Valley College with a certification in Communications. He also studied Communications, International Human Resource Management, Professional Selling at Cal Poly Pomona and Curtain University in Western Australia. He worked for Toyota for 7 years and there he had various positions from service advisor, rental car department manager to salesman. He was in the top 3 salesman within the first month of selling cars. He also received special recognition for outstanding customer service as a Service Advisor. Prior to joining Sierra Pacific, Ryan owned an auto and plane detailing business. In 2012, Ryan received a Salesman of the Year award from Sierra Pacific for his hard work and dedication out in the field and in the office. Sales increased in the golf accessories department due to Ryan’s efforts. He has a passion for golf and started playing at the age of 13 years old. He continued playing and participated in golf camps until about 17 years old. Kevin is currently going to school at San Jose State to get a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. He has been working with Sierra Pacific since June of 2014, and joined the Golf Accessories team in October 2014. Tom attended the University of Oregon In Eugene. After completing his studies, he then traveled extensively in Europe and Africa. Tom began his career in the irrigation industry in 1973, working for Precision Polymers, Inc. , a PVC pipe and fitting manufacturer in Mountainside, New Jersey. A job offer to work for a Rain Bird distributor in Menlo Park brought him back to the west coast and Northern California in 1977. He began specializing in golf course irrigation in 1985, joining Sierra Pacific Turf Supply in 1994. Tom loves to golf and snow ski. Grady Van CleveOrnamental Salespersonsince 2015
Grady graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Horticulture. Prior to joining Sierra Pacific Turf Supply, Grady was a licensed Pest Control Advisor (PCA) and holder of a Qualified Applicators License (QAL) where he consulted with ornamantal growers in Central and Northern California. He is experienced in all areas of ornamental plant production including plant diesase diagnosis, cultural management, insect identification, weed identification and integrated pest management. He specializes in hydroponic plant production.
Grady regularly works with manufacturers’ representatives, R&D personnel, and university extension agents on Research Authorizations, Experimental Use Permits and implementing test plots using observation, analysis, and data collection common in most circumstances. An interest in soils and soil amendments complete his agricultural background. Problem solving is a specialty.
Superior in networking with associates in the industry, Grady is actively in contact with innovators and motivators who know and want to solve problems. Flexible, dependable, consistent, goal oriented all describe Grady.

Dean received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Horticulture from Oregon State University and a Master’s of Science degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in Agricultural Science.
He started working for Rhone Poulenc Ag Company as a Field Development Assistant. His territory was from Watsonville to Chula Vista. He then took a sales representative position for Rhone Poulenc covering the Paso Robles to Chula Vista area. Dean left Rhone Poulenc AG for an opportunity to work for Chipco Professional Products (now Bayer) in sales. He was responsible for Northern California and Northern Nevada, along with Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah and Alaska regions. After five years with Chipco, he was offered a sales position with Novartis (now Syngenta), working only in Northern California and Northern Nevada.
He is currently the Sales and Marketing Manager for Sierra Pacific. Dean received a Sierra Nevada Golf Course Superintendents Affiliate of the Year Merit award in 2012. Ted studied Industrial Arts at San Francisco State University and received a Green House Management Certificate and a Landscape Management Certificate. He also taught gardening classes for several years through the South San Francisco Parks and Recreation department and operated his family landscape and nursery business. He was offered a position with National Turf Fertilizer Company after his family business closed. He worked there for 10 years and became their Northern California Regional Manager. Ted received an Employee of the Year award in 2011 at Sierra Pacific. He enjoys cooking, camping and being a Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 29 of Rocklin, California. He is a recipient of the Eagle Scout award. He also has a black belt in Judo and is currently a USA JUDO certified coach and instructor. Dan attended College of Marin and received an Associates of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. After college, he worked in retail management for 12 years. I started with Sierra Pacific Turf Supply in 1994 as branch manager for their new Rocklin, California location. In 2007 my position changed to sales representative. I work throughout the Central and Northern California area serving the professional turfgrass and horticultural markets.
I began working in 1978 as an apprentice trainee for an Ag/Turf and Ornamental dealer. For years I worked close with company professionals learning all aspects of the business. Most of my experience came from years of hands-on training.

Tim TexeiraRain Bird Irrigation Salessince 2010
Tim received a degree in Business Administration from Chabot Jr. College and then Landscape Irrigation Design from Ohlone Jr. College. He has over 40 years experience in the golf irrigation industry. He began working for Automatic Rain Company in Irrigation sales in the 70s and then went onto Normac, Inc. and was a Golf Irrigation Manager and increased market share by 35%. In addition, he worked for Watertronics from 2004 to 2005 as a Regional Sales manager and then Arizona Machinery Company as a golf irrigations manager from 2004 to 2010. From there, he joined Sierra Pacific and loves his job. Tim has received a Rain Bird Salesperson of the Year award in 2003 and a John Deere Salesperson of the Year award in 2007. Kelly Kerr has over 24 years of golf course irrigation experience. In 1988, he began working in the irrigation industry at Normac, Inc. and then later was employed with McClellan AFB where he gained experience in electronics repair while rebuilding components for the F-15 Eagle. He then returned to Normac, Inc. to become the Service Manager for both the commercial and golf product lines. He received a Rain Bird Service Person of the Year award in 1999, 2002 and 2007, and in 2011 received a Sierra Nevada Golf Course Superintendent Association Affiliate (SNGCSAA) Merit award. Ryan NicholsAgronomic Sales RepresentativeSince 2015
Ryan received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Horticulture from Cal Poly Pomona and a Master’s of Science in Plant Biology from the University of California, Riverside.
During his graduate studies, Ryan worked as a research assistant where he conducted multiple research trials throughout the state of California partnering with golf course superintendents and companies such as Bayer Environmental Science, Syngenta, BASF, and Dow. Upon completion at UC Riverside, Ryan then took a teaching position as faculty in the Plant Science Department at Cal Poly Pomona. During his time at Cal Poly Pomona, Ryan also served as advisor for turf and landscape students in the GCSAA Annual Collegiate Turf Bowl and the NALP National Collegiate Landscape Competition. Ryan has led the students to 4 Top 10 finishes, including 3rd place in the 2015 National Collegiate Landscape Competition, and 4th place in the 2014 GCSAA Annual Collegiate Turf Bowl.
Ryan joined the Sierra Pacific Turf Supply team in 2015 and is excited to expand his knowledge and provide excellent customer service to help clients achieve their goals. During his spare time, he enjoys fishing, snow sports, cycling, landscaping and maintaining his collection of bonsai trees.

I spent my career in the construction industry. I’m a licensed C-8 Concrete Contractor and like to do private work on my spare time. Before coming to Sierra Pacific Turf Supply, I worked retail sales in building materials. I was born and raised in the Sacramento area. I enjoy working on and repairing mechanical equipment, tractors, trucks, etc.
Loree comes to Sierra Pacific with an extensive background in the agriculture industry where she worked for both the United States Department of Agriculture as well as Robert Mondavi/Woodbridge wines.
When she isn’t working the service counter at our Rocklin facility, you will find her brokering classic cars, vintage tractors and a random airplane in the farming communities.
Loree is a cowgirl at heart and a published “Cowboy Poet”. She has a strong passion for horses, golf, fishing, extreme sports, family and the Kansas City Chiefs.
